Sagami Original 0.01 condoms feature a thickness of 18 microns, measured according to Sagami standards. This measurement is approximately half the thickness of standard kitchen plastic wrap and one-third the thickness of a human hair.

Constructed from polyurethane (PU), these condoms provide high durability. Despite the 0.01mm thickness, the material is three to five times stronger than standard latex alternatives. PU also offers superior heat conductivity, transferring body warmth quickly to maintain a natural sensation.

The polyurethane material is odorless, colorless, and biocompatible. It does not produce the rubber smell associated with latex and is suitable for individuals with latex allergies or sensitivities. Due to its thermoplastic properties, the material softens when exposed to body heat, allowing for a more precise fit during use.

The product is packaged in a unique blister pack designed for ease of use. This design ensures the condom is always oriented correctly, allowing for application in low-light conditions without the need to identify the front or back side.

Since its introduction in 1998 as a non-latex option, the Sagami Original series has focused on technical development to achieve thinner and stronger profiles. The 0.018mm film is the result of continuous evolution in material science and manufacturing.
